Best Bavarian cuisine in a rustic ambience, plus first-class service!
Perfect, hope to be back soon
Gastronomy with tradition, nice atmosphere, great service a must in Regensburg!
Definitely the best inn in Regensburg for me! A little out of the way is the Auer Bräu, a very nice restaurant, very cozy, you immediately feel at home. The service always on the ball and very friendly. The food was amazing, seldom have I eaten such good Bavarian cuisine as here. Full five stars
MoreVery expensive, the pork knuckle is good, but you can't cut the crispy skin, so I can order a roast pork right away, unfortunately, the service doesn't matter, you can't recommend it
MoreReally good cuisine, pleasant atmosphere, nice service, but unfortunately hardly any parking spaces
MoreDelicious food, good beer ? and above-average nice staff. What more can you expect from an inn?
MoreGreat restaurant of German cuisine, in other words, a wonderful beer house with local cuisine and amazing local beer
MoreVery good German cuisine. Very nice beer garden. Friendly service. The whole thing was well organized even with a lot of activity so that there were few waiting times. Very good price / performance ratio.
MoreVery good things, typical of the place and off the tourist circuit. Beer is ... yum
MoreVery good, traditional Bavarian food and nice service! ??
Home cooking. Good ?. The staff is absolutely friendly! Brewery ambience.
Beer tastes great here, the food was good and the service on the ball. The meat was unfortunately not that good, so one star was deducted.
MoreVery nice service and good food. Distance regulations are adhered to very well. Unfortunately there are hardly any parking spaces nearby.
MoreWe went to the Auerbräu twice during our vacation in Regensburg and it was very plentiful and delicious. Very good kitchen and super nice wait staff. Greetings from Cologne
MoreThe service was nice, friendly and fast! What I didn't like is that, according to my friend, the schnitzel cost € 11.70 and now costs € 13.70! ☹ That's pretty tough! The innkeepers are surprised that people don't come! If the service is bad, you can forget about the place! ☹
MoreInexpensive, varied selection of dishes and drinks. I and my ABF were truly delighted to finally have discovered a restaurant near us, which we can still afford to this day at the end of the month without hesitation. The chairs are extremely comfortable and I think the distance between the seats is great appropriate. You don't get the feeling of having dinner there like cucumber in a can - I was completely pleasantly surprised. We'll all be back for sure. Very brisk and friendly service. I think that the entire staff did a harmonious job there.
MoreOutstanding
Kneitinger beer and roasted Ribs! Perfect combo!
Absolutely delicious, just like grandma's. Simple home cooking. Clear map. Also a little for vegetarians. And all of this in a wonderfully shady beer garden. Better to reserve because it is very popular.
MoreGreat place, great food. Only problem it's cash only.... Which is strange if you live in the UK, cash is hardly used anymore in places where you eat. My German friends had to pay for me.
MoreThe food was good, but very manageable. The cyclist was very car-friendly. Very nice and friendly service. A nice spot, you can almost forget that you are sitting in the city ?
MoreVery nice beer garden. Delicious Bavarian dishes. Always happy
Great Bavarian food and beer
Even a very much bavarian restaurant as it had something vegan for someone like me. Its lovely and easygoing
MoreFood and atmosphere was amazing
One of the best traditional restaurants in Regensburg. Really great.
As always, excellent food, welcoming staff, amazing beer, and a comfortable environment...
MoreDelicious fresh food, attended and wonderful stuff
Simple, clean and ok prices.
Very good Bavarian food. Friendly employees. The place is worth the distance from the old town.
MoreAt 19:30 we found a parking spot diagonally across from the rain, we went 50m across the road to the inn. Unfortunately, I have no idea if there are other parking options but you can find wonderful without problems a Platzal. When we came through the wooden door in the lobby I was off the socks! The floor was paved and was probably once a real vestibule and was wonderfully prepared. We are then right in the room and amazed not bad how many people have sat in the room. We then took a quick look in the beer garden but it was clear from then, we should have reserved rather prefer. Nonetheless, we were greeted by three super friendly conditions, which have done a good job! When we asked the question "did you book it?" had denied, we were placed in a quiet Platzerl at the bar. I must briefly mention that my heart man from Dusseldorf is, so he is the Bavarian tavern culture not really known. And in addition, we have only recently, the possibility to make such visits in great rooms / restaurants / taverns, etc., he was blown away! The room is super nice, quaint and the atmosphere was really pleasant. Just as one can imagine that in a tavern that is well visited, can only imagine. When we sat down, we ordered our drinks and were able to decide on the map fairly quickly. The table was clean, the cutlery and napkins were in a pitcher for self-service. The map itself was well laid out but there was something for everyone. Personally, I always find it great if there are not 30 dishes to choose from, as I am always a bit skeptical that everything should always be fresh. After 15 minutes, the order was taken and I opted for a liver dumpling soup and a pork roast with dumplings. Since I like the sauerkraut ned so much, I decided to exchange it for a second dumpling. That was no problem at all! The Herzmann had a trout miller style with side salad and butter. After a short time then came the soup that was presented to me steaming. Mei, what should I say big about it except that it was perfect. The broth was clear, a few fat eyes which are hardly available anymore and nice and spicy. I did not have to indulge in any salt, which I sometimes have to do, where else. The liver dumplings on the outside are fluffy inside. After that came the main course. The waiting times between the courses was really low for the large volume in the room and in the beer garden! The trout tasted great and had an amazingly good taste. The potatoes were just right and the butter was a poem. He really feasted on that. The salad was good in taste and he was not drowned in dressing. My pig's was the absolute blast! The meat was tender and was just as I remembered it from my grandmother. Not fat at all, but really a good and big portion of meat. As "Zuckal" there was even a piece of rind that I ate with relish with my fingers. The sauce was a dream and no view of packal or watery juice. The dumplings were awesome and just as a dreadlock should be. The portions were really huge and I was struggling. In the end, I was sad that I had given my tablespoon with the empty soup bowl because I would have aufgespelt. ☺ All together was paid with 43 € and we were happy and fed the Auerbräu leave. We will definitely come back and I can only recommend it.
Moreclassic...not cheap anymore, but atill very nice.
Great beers and food, nice location
Spontaneously made a stop on our bike tour. Nice service. Shady little beer garden. Inside rustic and dark. Card with Bavarian delicacies and many vegetarian dishes and two vegans !! Courts. Excellent! Something for everyone. Here we like to take another break next time.
MoreTypical bayern food. Excell t and good prices
A very traditional place. The atmosphere is very cosy, almost mountain-hut-alike. In summer there is a great shady Biergarten. You'll need a reservation for peak hours.
MoreThe overall the food was good. The goulash was excellent. There are no English menus and it's cash only.
MoreSo beautiful place!! People there are so kind and welcomes you warmly. The mood there is amazing. Main issue, the menu card is only in german, but the waiter jus seat in front of me and translated it to me. If you are coming to Regensburg, you should go to this restaurant!! Of course, food and drinks are really good.
MoreGood food, service OK

Good traditional German food
The food is fantastik, good beer and a very tipical Bayerish restaurant.
Loved the place. Lively. Mostly locals. Friendly and efficient personel. Food and beer are fine. Has a garden as well.
MoreGreat classic German fare. Communal vibe, a bit noisey but impressive classics. The Pfannkuchensuppe was a great starter.
MoreThank you for being with us!
We will call you back!
